Ralph’s Weight Loss Journey

Ralph is a 46-year-old, Las Vegas local, and father of four. He, as many of us sometimes do, found himself at a low point. For the past six years, he found himself on a decline. He had let himself go both physically and mentally, formed unhealthy eating habits, and felt as though he was a shadow of a person. 

After his wife of 21 years left him in December 2019, he knew he had to do something to get himself back on track. 

At 268 pounds, Ralph was looking for something that would allow him to feel better right away and give him the push he needed to make a healthy lifestyle change. He wanted a change that would set him up for success in the future. It was then he turned to Premier Liposuction for help.

The Surgery

At the end of January 2020, Ralph stepped into Premier Liposuction to get ready for his Vaser liposuction procedure, targeting the excess fat around his stomach and chin. “They don’t overcomplicate things”, Ralph explains about his experience the day of his procedure. “I didn’t feel a thing. They put on some nice music, and the prep was excellent.”

Ralph was out of his procedure in just a few hours, already feeling lighter and more trim. “The local anesthesia wears off quickly. I walked out, drove home, and went to work the next day. The recovery has an excellent pace to it.” Ralph notes.

The Recovery

As with any surgery, recovery is an important part of the process. Ralph was prepared to see changes in his body happening over the next several months as it adjusts and settles in. He took it easy during the first couple of weeks, then started going on walks to get his body used to the movement. After four months he started working out regularly.

Ralph cut out all fast food and started incorporating a healthier diet into his daily routine. “I have smoothies in the morning, and dinner before 6 pm. I’m not counting calories, but am watching what I eat.” Ralph explains.

“You need to be committed to your change. You’ve gotta make this decision for yourself, not for anyone else.”

The Life-changing Results

After five and a half months had passed, Ralph had lost 62 pounds. The combination of Vaser liposuction targeting his stomach and chin, working out regularly, and eating a healthy, well-balanced diet had accelerated his weight loss. Altogether, it completely transformed Ralph in more ways than one. 

He went from wearing size XXL t-shirts to size medium, and from a size 50 pants to a size 36—and still finds that he needs to wear a belt. “I’m getting hit on more at 46 than I did in my 20s!” Ralph says. “My whole wardrobe is gone!”

For Ralph, liposuction motivated him to believe he could accomplish his self-goal of living a healthier lifestyle. He had a purpose to pursue liposuction and believes that someone must commit to the betterment of themselves if they want to see the results they are looking for.

When asking Ralph about the advice he would give someone also interested in liposuction, he said “You need to be committed to your change. You’ve gotta make this decision for yourself, not for anyone else.”

After a life-changing year for Ralph, he has finally put himself first and found his own self-worth. “Everyone has a bad season in life, and I’m worth a lot more than what I believed I was before. This procedure has helped me see my own value.”
